A Street Called Home
Mural Project

From April through November 2005, Kris Schramer and a team of 30 students from the Columbus College of Art and Design reproduced Aminah Robinson’s A Street Called Home on the 150 foot-long wall of a building owned by the State Auto Insurance Company. The project, generously funded by State Auto, celebrates the art of Columbus native Aminah Robinson and the vibrant Columbus neighborhood in which she grew up. Robinson’s original artwork A Street Called Home is in the collection of the Columbus Museum of Art, which is located between State Auto and the Columbus College of Art and Design in downtown Columbus.
